Mission Outreach

We offer a free Monday night meal to everyone year round. Other churches and organizations support our efforts and participate.

All meals are held at our facility and hosted by:
Second Monday: Congregational Church
Fourth Monday: Catholic Church
Quarterly: The Mormon Church
Remaining Mondays: Various community organizations/businesses

Everyone is well aware of rising energy costs. Here in northern New England those costs can be more than an inconvenience, they can make your home uninhabitable and put children at risk. To address these needs, our church has established an emergency assistance program that works with area agencies to provide heating oil or propane to those in need. We are grateful to Penquis for working with us on this endeavor.

We support the work of the Dover-Foxcroft Area Food Cupboard. The food cupboard is the successor of a ministry that has been in place since 1994 and provides food to area residents in need.

Our Mission Committee and others lead the congregation in several other projects throughout the year.

Some of these projects are:

• Dover-Foxcroft Kiwanis Christmas Project: We work in conjunction with the Dover-Foxcroft Kiwanis to provide support and space for their annual Christmas gift program for children in need in our school system.

• Diaper Drive

• Backpack Program

In an effort to educate ourselves about real global needs, widen our reach, and deepen our impact, we select a different mission each month of the year. In addition to supporting our regular projects listed above, a significant portion of our monthly missions offering goes to a particular project.
